This was a Christmas present for my mother in law. She LOVED it!! Bennington Pottery has been a huge hit with my in-laws since I introduced them to it years ago. The blue agate looks just beautiful with my mother in law's blue willow china.

Blue Agate Special Edition Bowl

I bought this bowl for my recently married son and his wife who live on the west coast. When our now-adult kids were young, most summer vacations were tent camping trips in VT- sometimes at state parks, sometimes Merck Forest and Farmland, but most began or ended in the southwest corner of the state having come in from or going out to the NY State Thruway. Our tent campsite would have been in wonderful Woodford State Park just west of Bennington andthe stay always included a traditional stop for breakfast at the Blue Benn followed by a visit to Bennington Pottery- just around the corner from each other. When I got the notice about the recent special edition of this bowl, I decided that the newlyweds should have one, because after all, EVERYbody needs one big beautiful bowl in their household.They love the bowl and it is getting a full range of use- from a cache for fresh fruit or to use for mixing or rising batters or dough. I have a very large blue agate, what I call, punch bowl because of its size - and have always been partial to that color of all the choices of sponge ware available. Hope that all are well and safe in the great state of VT.

A put the Molly Stark pitcher in this bowl. I made my own wash basin set ! Looks great on an old antique dresser in our bedroom.

We adore our entire blue agate dinner and cookware. We love this cuffed edge. Beautiful. Please bring back the cuffed dinner plates too!

This large shallow bowl is so beautiful. I may end up getting another. Purchased as a wedding gift or a special birthday gift, yet it would look lovely in our own home. Lovely piece.
